Today I watched my first ever pancake race, which was organised by
Better Bankside at Borough Market. I know some of you wanted to see pictures, so here they are:
The teams are practising their pancake flipping skills before the race.
The race is about to start - frying pans at the ready.
They're off!
The race was good fun, and attracted quite an audience. There was a fee to take part and the money went to charity, so it was all for a good cause.
Those of you who've not made preparations for tonight, there's still time to nip to the supermarket for supplies. Have fun!

If I am ever in London, we should form a team and go compete!
Hmmm... not sure I'd be any good, but it'd be fun!
Pancake races...I'm not sure if they have them in France - I'll have to check...
My youngest daughter made the pancakes today - she's the expert. I had two with lemon juice and sugar. Yum yum! The girls had theirs with Nutella of course...
This looks so funny!! I never even knew about this!
Pancakes with orange juice and sugar - yummy!
I made American ones for breakfast on Saturday - served with greek yoghurt, summer fruits and maple syrup!!!
I love them with lemon or orange juice and sugar, but the american ones sound scrummy too!
