Prepare for Halloween

Are you planning to take your pooch trick or treating on October 31st? Let them participate in the festive fun by getting them their very own costume - turn them into a Hot Dog! Hehe.

Available in two sizes, small and medium, from Amazon over the pond.

You can't beat this for sheer entertainment value - although having a baby snail around the house has got to be good too.

I just thought this was sooooo funny! If I had a dog, I'd order the costume for them and get them to wear it all year round, or at least every time I was down and needed a pick me up :-)

This is hilarious. But I guess it wouldn't be a "one-size-fits-all" thing...

I bet the poor dog feels like a right prat. How will he explain that to his mates, I wonder? And what about the lady dogs? Will they really think he's hot??? :-)

I must admit, I don't like Halloween much. I don't even like pumpkin. In my English classes, I usually teach about Bonfire Night instead. I've noticed too that this year, Monoprix hasn't got much Halloween stuff on sale (they've already got the Christmas merchandise in!). It looks like it's gone out of fashion here...

PS...the snail is really cute!

No self-respecting pooch would be caught dead in that!! Just in case, I will have some doggie treats ready, come Halloween.

Those links have made me giggle. If only I had a child or dog to dress up!

I looove Halloween.Wish we celebrated it here too.In Canada,we'd have a Halloween dance at school. Most of the houses in the neighbourhood would join in on the festivities by decorating their homes with cobwebs, skeletons etc...
Trick or treat Give me something sweet to eat(or at least nothing poisonous or with a razor in it) At some point some weirdos ruined it for us by poisoning kids or trying to hurt them.
Anyone having a Halloween party over there this year?I have found some info for my older students and some colouring pages and stickers for my younger students.
I miss it :-(

@ Betty: Clearly not... even the dog costume comes in different sizes!

@ Gigi: There's a version of the same costume with ketchup on the sausage, rather than mustard. Perhaps the lady dog will be dressed in that, and so they'll make a complimentary pair ;-)

I like Halloween and love pumpkin, although naturally we celebrate Bonfire Night more.

@ Karen: Oh I don't know, I bet any dog dressed as a hot dog will at least get plenty of attention (and possibly extra treats from those who feel sorry for it ;-)

@ Shionge: Hehe that's what I thought too.

@ Kathy: It's actually not that big here, although people go to the occasional fancy dress party and some kids go trick or treating. It falls midweek this year, so I don't suppose we'll be doing anything special; maybe eat spooky sweets in the office (we always have sweets in the office, we vary them depending on the season).
