Nul points, again...

The Great British public have decided. Once again, we've done our best to eliminate any act that would have the faintest hope of success in the Eurovision Song Contest. Let's hope the political voting doesn't let us down now - can you imagine if this entry came back with any points at all? Musicians around the country would give up making music and take up crocheting instead.

(I know I would if I was a musician. Maybe not crocheting though. Embroidery would be more my thing.)

P.S. Anyone remember Slovenia's Transvestite Sisters from the 2002 contest? We can't even claim points for originality.

P.P.S. This is the song. Listen at your peril.

Who has the public decided? Sorry, I think I have missed the program you are referring to...

A group called Scooch who pretend to be camp flight attendants. They've been selected to represent Britain in the Eurovision song contest in Helsinki...

Oh no not Eurovision when will we learn that we'll never win again...

Obviously, the lessons of the last two years have gone unheeded. The rest of Europe are trying to improve the quality of the acts they send to Eurovision - we're doing the exact opposite!

I must admit that this is an event I don't take very seriously at least not since Buck's Fizz...ouch!
Most of the music's dire and because it's voted for it ends up pleasing no one...
Could be a good evening to go out.

Oh no, I love Eurovision! Last year 7 of us went to Athens and watched it live, it was a scream :-)

OK, the British act was a bit cringeworthy, but hey, look on the bright side - we could be going this year!!

That'll be another winner for England then - winner of the wooden spoon perhaps.
Are we going to have a party again this year?

Of course we are :-)
Are you making that Irish cheesecake you were talking about?

What Irish cheesecake? Inquiring minds want to know!

It's something Loops keeps promising to make. I think it's cheesecake made with Baileys. Sounds totally yummy and I can't wait for Eurovision night heh

The recipe is available from the following link. I haven't made it so I have no idea if it's any good :) I have eaten Bailey's chocolate chip cheese cake before and it's really scrummy so I'm hoping this recipe will be similar!

Loops, you make it for us on Eurovision night and we'll post a review on the blog for Marg. How's that for an offer you can't refuse? Hehe ;-)

Anyone hear ancient enough to remember Sandie Shaw and Puppet on a String? Or how about good ol' Cliff? Ah...those were the days...:-)
