Good news at last

In the midst of economic gloom and swine flu panic, the Met Office's much awaited summer forecast is, quite literally, a ray of sunshine.

For the UK and much of northern Europe rainfall is likely to be near or below average. A repeat of the wet summers of 2007 and 2008 is unlikely. Temperatures are likely to be above average.

After two consecutive very wet and lukewarm summers, things are looking up this year. Hallelujah!

The Met Office are usually quite accurate with their predictions. I have a lot of faith in them :-D

@ Karen: Sounds horribly wet. Does it rain non stop?

@ Saretta: Mille grazie :-)

@ Fifi: We need some good news from time to time, there's too much doom and gloom around at the moment.

@ Shionge: Cheers indeed!

@ Per Stromsjo: Thank you. It's one of my favourite flower photos for this very reason.

@ Sandi: My thoughts exactly!

Glad you liked Changeling. Did you see The Reader too?
