A little snow goes a long way

Hubby's just got back from a week's skiing in Les 3 Vallées area in France. He went with his sister and brother-in-law as I'm not too keen on skiing. I like mountains and I love snow, but I'd rather spend my holidays lounging in the sunshine than freezing cold on the slopes. Every time he goes away I think I might go with him this once, but never have so far. Having seen his photos from this year's trip to Méribel, I'm glad I didn't as there was more cloud than snow around. I don't feel anywhere near as jealous as I feel when he shows me photos of bright blue skies and thick white snow.

Still, a little snow obviously goes a long way, as they managed to ski every day they were there. The view from the room looks OK too.

Maybe next year...

As a Norwegian, I would have loved to be there you know. Too little snow in Oslo, Norway this winter :-(

It is beautiful, but I'm with you. Vacations need sun and sand.

So it seems snow is invading your life... My daughter was in Switzerland for skiing, but got some rain. Not a great treat... but your pictures are wonderful!
Your Wednesday pictures seems to have been taken in Athens... Incredible!
Have a great Spring week!

@ Cheryl & Shionge: Some of the photos from last year's ski trip were truly stunning, all blue skies and thick snow, but I guess these aren't bad either ;-)

@ Rennyba: Amazing that there's less snow in Oslo than the south of France!

@ Karen: Finally, someone who understands how I feel :-)

@ GMG: Yeah, hubby had some rain too.

Last week's snowy pictures were indeed taken in Athens - more snow than Méribel, would you believe it!

I'm going in 7 days and I can't wait. I haven't been for 2 years :( There's nothing quite like the feeling of gracefully flying down the mountain, the sun is on your face and the air is fresh and crisp - bliss :D

Where are you going Loops? Hopefully not the south of France, although I hear they had a little more snow last week.

The sun-on-your-face feeling is lovely, but I prefer it when my face is lathered in sunscreen, I'm wearing a hat and sunglasses and the air is hot and still. Mmmmmm you got me thinking of summer now!
