"Do not keep anything in your home that you do not know to be useful or believe to be beautiful" - William Morris, founder of the English Arts and Crafts Movement.
One of the advantages of not living alone, I suppose. Constantly having to defend one's clinging to various stuff will probably contribute to a slight reduction of that same collection... over time...

Whoa! Great new look!
I've had too much coffee this morning and all the comments whirring through my head have to do with husbands, and children, and laundry.
No one and nothing is safe! (books excepted, of course)
Thanks! Wasn't too sure about the new look, but can't work out how to go back to the old one, so it might be a keeper after all.
LOL @ the comments! Do come back after you've had a full shot of morning coffee. I'm on my first cup, and it's already PM.
i have JUST cleared my house of 10 years worth of accumulated stuff, so this is definitely highly applicable to me!
...or when someone dear knows it to be useful or believes it to be beautiful... :)
@ Mediterranean Kiwi: Well done, you!
@ Per Stromsjo: Haha! Good point :-)
