@ Betty: Thanks! That's not Cheddar Street, it's a sign pointing to Cheddar (the village where the cheese comes from). Traditional countryside signs are, shall we say, of an unusual design...

@ Trotter: Thank you! I'll be paying you a visit soon.

@ Sandi: It was OK. A bit boring. I watched it in flight and have to admit I dozed off a couple of times. Ooops.

@ Karen: The skies aren't ashy at all. They're bright blue and beautifully clear. I'll take my camera with me when I go to the supermarket in a minute and snap some shots en route to show you.

Thanks for clarifying. I came back for a second look and it still looks like a street sign to me! I guess I don't know much about the British countryside...
