The other day we went out for a meal at a Chinese restaurant in Athens. This is some of what we had: Peking duck, sweet and sour pork and beef in oyster sauce.
We also had wontons, spring rolls and stuffed dragon wings (I swear that's what they were called on the menu) but my friends were too hungry to let me take photos of our starters.
All in all, the food wasn't that different from what hubby and I had last time we had Chinese in London.
Spring rolls, sesame prawn toast and fried squid for starters.
Beef in black bean sauce and sweet and sour prawns for our mains.
Perhaps it's not such a good idea to relaunch the food diaries. Looking at all these photos is making me hungry.

I had chinese too, but at home, we can order it in a restaurant and take away too. I had shrimps was very good. But the best chinese I ever had was in Chinatown in a real chinese restaurant where only chinese ate (we were the only Europeans) and they didn't even have a fork for my husband, lol !
Mmmmmmmm. I've just returned from the gym and I'm pretty sure I could eat every bit of that myself.
I'm glad the Food Diaries are back. :-)
Looks delicious! May I have some?
Oh, dear, Peiking duck. They don't serve it like this in the U.S. that I know of, and I really miss the taste of the sauce they serve it with. Yum!
I will now use your post as a gym motivator. :D
These really are delicious...sometimes when we venture for a new item on the menu...its a risk we take and many times I went by how good the picture on the menu card looked :)...sometimes it worked out well....
oh wow! yum yum and YUM!
YUMMMMMM!!! Suddenly I'm starving!!!
Sorry for making you all hungry :-)
Hi Tinsie, here I am after another absence, much longer than I wished...
Peking duck? Next time please make me a call... ;))
Blogtrotter is now at an old spa in Turkey. Enjoy and have a great week!
Sounds like there is a working international standard then for Chinese cuisine. At the moment, I'm more into Indian tastes but I certainly wouldn't mind a dragon now and then.
