Both photos were taken in Athens, Greece last Monday 18 February 2008, following two days of snowfall. Indie has also posted a snow-picture in her own blog.
Is this unusual in Greece?
Oh mine....freaking brrr....cold I bet :D
@ Karen: Not in Greece as a whole, but it's quite unusual for Athens. Normally you'd get half as much snow at best (or worst, depending on how keen you are on snow ;-)In other areas of Greece you regularly get that much or more snow in the winter months.@ Shionge: It must have been very cold indeed. But it only lasted a few days :-)
You just know that my Monkey would love to live anywhere that it snows. Vegas, and now Alabama are killing him. I'll see if the hubby wants to move to Greece...
It does get very hot in summer though. 40C (over 100F) isn't unusual in Athens during July and August.
Holy cow.........that is a lot of snow! It is sunny and warm in Marrakech!
Haha that's *exactly* what I thought when I saw these pictures!Does it ever snow in Morocco?
