Greek Easter wishes

We've been to church, eaten lots of yummy food (except lamb, which I hate), spent time with friends and family, drunk large amounts of red wine, watched the fireworks in the evening. It's been a good day :-)

Hope you've all had a good time, whatever you've been up to. Happy Easter!

I made lamb, so I'm glad you weren't invited here.

Easter fireworks? Is that a British thing?

Nope, it's a Greek thing. We're in Greece at the moment, where Easter is as big as Xmas in the UK, with family gatherings, lamb on the spit, red eggs, lots of different cakes (yummmm) and fireworks.
I'm not keen on lamb, but the rest is all good :-)

Happy Easter! We were in Germany for the weekend to see the family, and it was lovely. I am glad you had a good time!

Coincidence: I've never seen these eggs before but on Easter Sunday we were invited to friends' and a Greek friend of theirs brought a basket of eggs dyed . They were so richly coloured.

Sounds like you had a happy Easter! I think the fireworks would have been fun!

The red eggs look beautiful, but they're a bugger to dye and you end up with red hands if you're not careful.

Angela, that's a coincidence indeed!

Loops, we'll have to do Greek Easter one year ;-)

Erica, glad to hear you had a good time in Germany. Did you get nice weather?

Pam, the firework display was beautiful and, more importantly, in full view of our balcony. All we had to do was step out of our room and enjoy :-)
