His and hers shopping

I walked past this quaint little shop earlier today and couldn't resist taking a few photos to share with you.

One side of the shop is dedicated to kitchen equipment and assorted cook's gadgets...

...whereas the other is assigned to DYI tools.

The shop was closed at the time, so I was only able to look through the windows. I might go back another day - I'd like to take a closer look at the Chocolate Chip Cookie Mix jars.

If any of you are in London, the shop is called Bert and Betty and is located in Greenwich, not far from the mainline station.

This looks live a heaven-place, I hope that I will visit it some day with my sister (but without our husbands, hahahaha!!). Then, we can have a cup of coffee with you!

It looks like my kind of shop! I love the name, too. I'm imagining a sweet older couple who have compromised his love of DIYing and hers of cooking.

I'd totally go for that tea set if I needed one!

@ Lemon: Sounds good to me, especially the bit about having coffee afterwards ;-)

@ Marg: Are you into ceramics? I never knew!

@ Anonymous & Mediterranean Kiwi: Isn't it a total gem?

Not into ceramics, but into nice things with character. If I had the disposable income, all my tableware would be something quirky or hand painted, or what have you. Till then, it's just red :D

Hi Tinsie! This year I don't think I'll be shopping in London for Christmas... :-(

Blogtrotter just finished Bilbao 2008. Enjoy and have a great weekend!

What a great idea...shopping for both men and women in the same place.

I love little shops like Bert and Betty...full of all sorts of interesting and unusual things.
