It's Pimms o'clock

I don't know if it's true, but today feels like it's the sunniest, warmest day of the summer. Just as we thought autumn was round the corner, too!

Well, I've been good all day, but it's now time for me to pour myself a Pimm's and go out to the garden to enjoy the rest of the sunshine.

For those of you not in the know, Pimm's is a gin-based alcoholic drink which is served with "English-style" lemonade, mint and various fruits such as apples, oranges, lemons, strawberries and cucumber.

It spells s-u-m-m-e-r. It's delish. I want some now.

Cheers!

Hahaha! We have wine o'clock here. I used to drink Pimm's in my late teens early 20s (a lo-o-ong time ago!) and I certainly remember it as a refresing drink. Now it's a dry white or a G & T (in a long glass with lots of ice and a twist of lime, thanks).

I love beer a lot, not gin. :)

@ Puss-in-Boots: Wine o'clock sounds good :-)

@ Palmtreefanatic: It is!

@ Exposemaximum: I don't much like gin either, but Pimm's is something else :-)

mmmmm I remember drinking Pimm's in English Pubs in Canada way back in the 70's. It's really the perfect summer drink. Unfortunately I can't find it here in Albania...sigh...

Sounds like something I would like to try. We should have plenty more summer here!
