What?? It's the 21st of OCTOBER, for Pete's sake. I refuse to even think about Christmas yet.

It does seem really early, but Christmas will be here before you know it. It's the most wonderful time of the year...

Christmas is indeed wonderful but I've got to agree with Karen here. This is the second reference to Christmas shopping I've come across this week!

Believe it or not, over here they start putting out Christmas merchandise in September, not to mention the Christmas catalogues, which arrive on 1 August! By early November, everything's decorated, the streets, the shop windows, even some houses.

I agree it's too much, this year we were still in T-shirts and shorts when the first advent calendars and Xmas chocolates hit the shelves. It felt like being in Australia!

Time is flying is one of the favourite phrases of my history teacher.

Mine too :-)

To early to think of Christmas already. Lets dwell with the golden beauty of fall :-)

Wishing you a great end to your week!

Hi Tinsie! Sale before the crisis deepens... ;)) Great picture of the skier... Interesting to read the tag!! ;)
Meanwhile Blogtrotter just said goodbye to Mykonos 2007!! It shows the famous sunset scene at Little Venice, and the Pelican mascot of the island… ;)
Hope you enjoy, comment and have a great weekend!

Just back from London (it was last weekend) and my daughter and I were really surprised how many shops had Christmas displays and products already -- even a few full-out shop windows.

Could it be more for tourists?

The photo is great but it looks so 'winter'!...
We are still having a wonderful late summer with temperatures around 26ยบ, so Xmas still seems to be so far away! :-)

Tinsie said...

@ RennyBA: It'll soon be Xmas ;-)

@ GMG: The crisis is still at arm's length - and I sure hope it stays that way!!

@ Betty: No it's not, it's mainly for the locals themselves. Even places that never see a tourist start getting Xmas-ed around the end of September. It's madness.

@ JM: Haha for us, 26C is the middle of summer (when there's a heatwave)!

Hi Tinsie! Still at arm's length??
Now, I bet you won’t discover where Blogtrotter has landed, until you get there to see… ;) Enjoy, comment and have a great week!

Well, my favourite is haste makes waste. I am back from Vienna.

You must be as busy as me. Hope all is well!

Tinsie said...

@ Palmtreefanatic: I agree. I thought it was a great display, even if it was a month too early!

@ Shadowfalcon: It seems so, doesn't it? Personally I refuse to think about Xmas until after Bonfire night (and I don't care how cold it's got)!!

@ Trotter: Still so. Thank God.

@ Ropi: I would agree with that. Vienna sounds good.

@ Karen: Busy is my middle name :-)

CHristmas should only be thought about after Thanksgiving. But I would so love to go Christmas ornament shopping in London. I miss the cold and the snow and the shop windows decorated in real Christmas spirit and not as is commercial Christmas threw up in it. (I know that's not very pleasant but it's true)

Me thinks someone's pining for Canada ;-)
