At least I think I am.

My first blog post
I wasn't going to have my own blog. For a start, I have very little to say. Even more importantly, I have very little time to say it in. As it is I spend most of my free time on the computer, so I really shouldn't be creating another distraction for myself.
I blame my friend Erica who already has her own blog. She gave me the address the other day, while we were out having dinner at our favourite Thai restaurant, and I've been checking her blog on and off since. Today I saw she'd posted a new message and I wanted to reply but couldn't, because she doesn't accept anonymous comments. So I had to register and get an ID before I could post. Then I noticed that other posters had included a photo or cartoon of themselves and I thought, nice touch, why don't I do the same? Only it seemed the easiest way to do it was to post the photo on my blog first. So I thought I'd start a blog (what the hell?). Then once I had a blog, I felt I ought to write something. So here I am.
It's true what they say, the devil makes work for idle hands. If it wasn't for the upheaval caused by the terror alerts, I'd be enjoying myself in sunny Scandinavia. Instead, I'm stuck in wet, miserable London with nothing interesting to do, so here I am, doing what I never thought I'd do - writing my own blog! Heh.
